Furoshiki or wrapping cloth used in Japan since ancient times, is highly suitable for the modern lifestyle, as more people become environmentally conscious and try to reduce the amount of waste related to use of paper and plastic bags. Furoshiki proves the old adage that anything old can be new again and highlights my personal favorite concept of blending ancient traditions with the modern world.
