Amour Vert is manufacturing entirely in the USA, strengthening and supporting local community and lowering the carbon footprint of their products. Their designs use sustainable production processes for their natural and organic fabrics to keep chemicals off of your skin and out of the soil.

ecoSkin, is an LA-based high fashion label by designer Sandy Skinner. Skinner was in the fashion industry for many years and jumped at the chance to make a difference in the world with her profession. Her debut collection was aimed at “fashion-forward sophisticated women who want to look great but care about the world and the environment they live in”.

Skinner opted for a custom made fabric comprised of bamboo, tencel and spandex. The bamboo may be imported from China but its spun into yarn locally in order for Skinner to ensure high production standards and fair trade practices. The garments are dyed following the “sage guidelines for dying domestically”.

Catiouche London makes soft and durable, luxury organic pyjamas for kids from fine 100% organic cotton produced in Japan and Turkey. It is grown without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals and coloured naturally without using chemical dyes or bleaching agents from yarn to finished materials.

Bodkin by Eviana Hartman produces shirt dresses, flirty skirts, jumpsuits, and tunics in relaxed styles that are easy to wear. Hartman uses vegetable-based dyes on silk for the line.

The Smith and Coates children’s collection is made from felted recycled cashmere by Sarah Coates. Adult sweaters are beautifully transformed into stylish kids pieces. Each item is hand embellished with vintage fabric trim and crochet work. A summer line is available too with a range of tops, dresses and trousers made from second hand cotton shirts.

There are now a wide range of companies offering well designed merchandise, from one-off art, recycled and redesigned clothing, organic and sustainable textiles and garment production, to a range of community and indigenous support cooperatives bridging the gap between traditional craft and high fashion.

So thrilled to be a vendor at the first annual Firefly Handmade indie craft show in Boulder this December. Yes, our little town is amazing for upstart businesses, so its a wonder the indie scene hasn’t taken off yet–but it will be impressive to say the least.

I will be showing some lovely collage art and various other creations.

The show will be a collection of amazing local talents from the Front Range area–check out the vendor list. There will be delicious food on hand from Dish Gourmet and arts and crafts to keep your little ones busy while you shop, courtesy of Clementine Studio who have a line of eco friendly art supplies.
