recycled fashion art: rachel wright
Artist Rachel Wright creates art garments from recycled dresses that she finds at thift stores. Her glove gown is a spectacular assemblage of many old white leather gloves fit for a gothic queen. Other pieces are anatomical costumes created by sewing embellishments onto them, either through applique or screen printing. She hand sews each piece, responding to each garment's characteristics, so the end result is a unique, one of a kind creation.
