sustainable hempcrete house
Push Designs has built the first Hemp House in America, in Asheville, North Carololina. This super sustainable house was constructed with a renewable hemp-based material, called Hemcrete and features several other green and energy-saving materials. Hemcrete is a mixture hemp, water and lime- breathable material purifies air and helps insulate the house.
The 3400-sf house has energy saving light fixtures and walls and doors made from recycled paper, which like the Hemcrete, has good insulating properties and adds to the eco-credentials of the house.
